Febu is a reflection of our diverse community of cultures, ages, and beliefs. We want Febu to continue to be an authentic and safe place for inspiration and expression. Help us foster and protect this amazing community.
Post only your own content and always follow the law. Respect everyone on Febu, don’t spam people or post nudity. Be polite. Regardless of the scenario, all posts and comments are subject to removal. Personal attacks, trolling, and hate speech will result in bans. Don't be offensive and use your better judgment.
In order to protect the experience and safety of people who use Febu, there are some limitations on the type of content and behavior that we allow. All users must adhere to the policies set forth in the Febu Rules. Failure to do so may result in the temporary locking and/or permanent suspension of account(s).
Please note that we may need to change these rules from time to time and reserve the right to do so. The most current version will always be available at febu.me/site-pages/Rules.
In order to provide the Febu service and the ability to communicate and stay connected with others, there are some limitations on the type of content that can be published with Febu.
Trademark: We reserve the right to reclaim usernames on behalf of businesses or individuals that hold legal claim or trademark on those usernames. Accounts using business names and/or logos to mislead others may be permanently suspended.
Copyright: We will respond to clear and complete notices of alleged copyright infringement. Our copyright procedures are set forth in the Terms of Service.
Graphic content: We don’t allow nudity on Febu. This includes photos, videos, and some digitally-created content that show sexual intercourse, genitals, female nipples, and fully-nude buttocks.
We have zero tolerance when it comes to sharing sexual content involving minors or threatening to post intimate images of others.
People like to share photos or videos of their children. For safety reasons, we don’t allow images that show nude or partially-nude children. Even when this content is shared with good intentions, it could be used by others in unanticipated ways.
You may not use excessively violent media. We understand that many people use Febu to share important and newsworthy events. Some of these issues can involve graphic images. Because so many different people and age groups use Febu, we may remove images/videos of intense, graphic violence to make sure Febu stays appropriate for everyone.
We understand that people often share this kind of content to condemn, raise awareness or educate. If you do share content for these reasons, we encourage you to caption your photo with a warning about graphic violence. When content crosses the line into gratuitous images of death, Febu may ask that you remove the content out of respect for the deceased. Sharing graphic images for sadistic pleasure or to glorify violence is never allowed.
Unlawful use: You may not use our service for any unlawful purposes or in furtherance of illegal activities. International users agree to comply with all local laws regarding online conduct and acceptable content.
Misuse of Febu badges: You may not use badges, such as but not limited to the “verified” or “promoted” Febu badge, unless provided by Febu. Accounts using these badges as part of profile photos, cover photos, or in a way that falsely implies affiliation with Febu, may be suspended.
We want to foster a positive, diverse community. We remove content that contains credible threats or hate speech, content that targets private individuals to degrade or shame them, personal information meant to blackmail or harass someone, and repeated unwanted messages. We do generally allow stronger conversation around people who are featured in the news or have a large public audience due to their profession or chosen activities.
We believe in freedom of expression and in speaking truth to power, but that means little as an underlying philosophy if voices are silenced because people are afraid to speak up. In order to ensure that people feel safe expressing diverse opinions and beliefs, we do not tolerate behavior that crosses the line into abuse, including behavior that harasses, intimidates, or uses fear to silence another user’s voice.
Any accounts and related accounts engaging in the activities specified below may be temporarily locked and/or subject to permanent suspension.
Violent threats (direct or indirect): You may not make threats of violence or promote violence, including threatening or promoting terrorism. Serious threats of harm to public and personal safety aren't allowed. This includes specific threats of physical harm as well as threats of theft, vandalism, and other financial harm.
It's never OK to encourage violence or attack anyone based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, disabilities, or diseases. When hate speech is being shared to challenge it or to raise awareness, we may allow it. In those instances, we ask that you express your intent clearly.
Harassment: You may not incite or engage in the targeted abuse or harassment of others. Some of the factors that we may consider when evaluating abusive behavior include:
If a primary purpose of the reported account is to harass or send abusive messages to others;
If the reported behavior is one-sided or includes threats;
If the reported account is inciting others to harass another account; and
If the reported account is sending harassing messages to an account from multiple accounts.
Hateful conduct: You may not promote violence against or directly attack or threaten other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or disease. We also do not allow accounts whose primary purpose is inciting harm towards others on the basis of these categories.
Multiple account abuse: Creating multiple accounts with overlapping uses or in order to evade the temporary or permanent suspension of a separate account is not allowed.
Private information: You may not publish or post other people's private and confidential information, such as credit card numbers, street address, or Social Security/National Identity numbers, without their express authorization and permission. In addition, you may not post intimate photos or videos that were taken or distributed without the subject's consent.
Impersonation: You may not impersonate others through the Febu service in a manner that is intended to or does mislead, confuse, or deceive others.
Self-harm: You may encounter someone considering suicide or self harm on Febu. When we receive reports that a person is threatening suicide or self harm, we may take a number of steps to assist them, such as reaching out to that person expressing our concern and the concern of other users on Febu or providing resources such as contact information for mental health supporters.
You may not use the Febu service for the purpose of spamming anyone. We strive to protect people on Febu from technical abuse and spam. What constitutes “spamming” will evolve as we respond to new tricks and tactics by spammers. Any accounts engaging in the activities specified below may be temporarily locked or subject to permanent suspension.
Username squatting: You may not engage in username squatting. Accounts that are inactive for more than six months may also be removed without further notice. Some of the factors we take into consideration when determining what conduct is considered to be username squatting are:
The number of accounts created;
Creating accounts for the purpose of preventing others from using those account names;
Creating accounts for the purpose of selling those accounts; and
Using feeds of third-party content to update and maintain accounts under the names of those third parties.
Invitation spam: You may not use our Invite Your Friends feature to send repeat, mass invitations.
Selling usernames: You may not buy or sell Febu usernames.
Malware/Phishing: You may not publish or link to malicious content intended to damage or disrupt another person’s browser or computer or to compromise a person’s privacy.
Clickbaits: Posts with clickbait or sensationalized titles will be removed and repeat offenses will be subject to banning. Clickbait titles are defined as titles whose main purpose is to attract attention and encourage visitors to click on a link to a particular web page, that are either an exaggeration of the specific piece/quote or have nothing to do with it entirely.
You may find content you don’t like, but doesn’t violate the Community Guidelines. If that happens, you can unfollow or block the person who posted it. If there's something you don't like in a comment on one of your posts, you can delete that comment.
Many disputes and misunderstandings can be resolved directly between members of the community. If one of your photos or videos was posted by someone else, you could try commenting on the post and asking the person to take it down. If that doesn’t work, you can file a copyright report. If you believe someone is violating your trademark, you can file a trademark report. Don't target the person who posted it by posting screenshots and drawing attention to the situation because that may be classified as harassment.
Thank you for helping us create one of the best communities in the world.
