What is a verified badge?

A verified badge is a blue check that appears next to the name on an account’s profile and next to the account name in search results. It means that Febu has confirmed that this is the authentic account for the person, business or organization it represents. It is always the same color and placed in the same location, regardless of profile or theme color customization.

A verified badge does not imply an endorsement by Febu.

Verified accounts are reviewed as part of our efforts to make sure that the Febu experience stays authentic. Though we don't proactively monitor verified accounts for changes, we may remove an account's verified badge at any time if it posts spam or some other content that doesn't follow our Terms of Use or Febu Rules. A verified account may lose its verified status if changes to the profile settings modify the account’s original purpose.

Previously verified accounts may not be eligible to have badges restored.

Accounts that don’t have the badge next to their name but that display it somewhere else, for example in the profile photo, cover photo, or bio, are not verified accounts.

Verified badges must be applied by Febu, and accounts that use a badge as a part of profile photos, background photos, or in any other way that implies verified status, are subject to permanent account suspension.

Can I request a verified badge for my profile?

Yes. We believe verified badge should not only be a privilege of public figures, celebrities or popular brands. Any authentic person/business/organization with a valid Febu account can request the verified badge. If you think your account should be verified, your account must have the following:

A confirmed email address

A profile photo

A birthday (for personal accounts)

Some common characteristics of verified accounts include:

If the account belongs to a person, the name reflects the real or stage name of the person.

If the account is a business/organization account, the name reflects the real name of the business/organization.

The profile photo reflects the person, the business/organization.

How can I request an account verification?

You can submit a request to verify your account from your Account Settings > Verification.

In order to confirm your request, You will need to upload a digital copy (good quality scan/photo) of your official government-issued photo id card (e.g. national id card, passport or driver’s license), and a recent clear photo of your face.

After we successfully review your account and documents, and before we assign a verified badge for your profile, you need to pay a small processing fee of $11.99 USD or equivalent for a personal account, $24.99 USD or equivalent for a Page/Group. We have all popular payment methods available (e.g. Credit/Debit card, PayPal, bKash) for your convenience.

Verified+ Membership
